My lab report

Lab Report Making waves
1/19/2011
Guiding Question:How do water waves affect the objects floating in the water
Hypothesis: I think as the wave Hits the Boat and the floating objects in the water it will move them farther, And as i hit the water slower the boat and the object will not turn they  will rock.
Exploration  ( PLAN & DO A TEST):
(Materials) : 1. I will need a big bucket of water
                2. Make a tin foil boat and some building
                3. I will need sand
                4. A lot of water
                5. marker
(Procedure) :
1.  First you have to make a boats  out of tin foil. Second you have to take a big bucket, and insert water in it. Put the objects that you made in the bucket, Take a marker and start hitting the water and observe the boat and the water if nothing is happen take a bigger object and do the same thing, you will see as you take the bigger object you will see that the boat will flip or hit the bucket.
IV.  RECORD & ANALYZE:
When i hit the water with the glue stick slowly it takes more time to get to the end, and as i hit stronger the faster the ball is traveling.
           A.  Data Tables:
Give proper title of table and column headings
Object:Low Frequency TimeHigh
Frequency
Time
Ping-Pong1 Hz21.75 Hz15.7
Wooden stick1 Hz51.45 Hz21.7
Small boat1 Hz43.55 Hz16.8

                       Use an appropriate orientation
                       Make correct computations
                       Use units of measure
                       Observe significant figures and rounding-off
                           rules
           B.  Graphs: Give a proper title and a legend for each
                             axis
                       Use an appropriate orientation
           C.  Analysis of Data: As i hit the water harder the faster the boat and the other object are going. But as i hit slower the slower the boat and the objects are slower and hitting the edge of the bucket.
IV.  Concept Acquisition (CONCLUSION): In conclusion i think this wave lab will help me a lot.I can see that this unite was Cindi hard. I learned a lot of things. It was so hard trying to do all of the calculating and putting all of the data analyses on the
I learned a lot for a very short time. The int resting thing is how each material accede different. One pore the more you swing there is less the ‘’the wave is made’’
V.  Concept Application (FURTHER INQUIRY):  The only thing that i would change was my guiding question because i was in a hurry and did’t have much time to think. Every thing El's was good

Water Pollution

Over two thirds of Earth's surface is covered by water; less than a third is taken up by land. As Earth's population continues to grow, people are putting pressure on the planet's water resources. In a sense, our oceans, rivers, and seas are being "tortured" by human activities, which reduce its quality. Poorer water quality means water pollution.

We can define pollution in so many ways. Usually, it means that one or more dangerous substances occur in water to such an extent that they cause problems for animals or people. Oceans, lakes, rivers, and other inland waters can naturally clean up a certain amount of pollution by dispersing it harmlessly. But the problem is with big concentrations of dangerous chemicals. This, in turn, could affect the health of all the plants, animals, and humans whose lives depend on water.

Pollution can affect two types of water: surface waters and groundwater. There are also two different ways in which pollution can occur. If pollution comes from a single location, such as a discharge pipe attached to a factory, it is known as point-source pollution. Other examples of point source pollution include an oil spill from a tanker and a discharge from a factory chimney. A great deal of water pollution happens not from one single source but from many different scattered sources. This is called nonpoint-source pollution

Fresh water from National Geographic

We drink over a million liters of water,Gees what if we don't stop to pollute the water there will be water bu we are still polluting. You think you can Get through one day with out drinking water, get what you cant because you organism need water.

We are wasting water or trowing it when we are not thirsty any more, But for a Africans kid life just if you don't throw the fresh water when doing that just thing of the people in Africa.

A thirdof the people on Earth may lack a clean, secure source of water. Join National Geographic in exploring the local stories and global trends that define the world's water crisis. Learn about freshwater resources and how they are used to feed, power, and sustain all life. Earthquake in Kraljevo

http://www.blic.rs/Vesti/Hronika/215100/Novi-zemljotres-jacine-28-stepeni-u-Kraljevu-proglaseno-vanredno-stanje

Last night a shocking thing happened. There was an strong earthquake that shook the whole Serbia. This earthquake happened at 01:58 after midnight, The earthquake was so strong that it was felt almost every city in Serbia.

The epicenter was 10 kilometers north of Kraljevo. The Serbian seismological institute measured that the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.3 at a relatively shallow depth of 10 km. In this tragic earthquake 2 lost t lives. Many of the buildings are damaged, so at the moment there is no electricity and they don't have much water.

From the firth earthquake until now there were 20 small quakes which were not so strong as the first one. The last one occurred around 09:00 in the morning. Kraljevo is  under the state of emergency, because people are afraid that maybe there will be more aftershocks.

I think this is very scary for Serbia because you don't know when  another one can happen. I hope this is the last quake that Serbia will ever have.

I woke up at 2 in the morning, my whole room was shacking. I thought  it was a dream, so I continued to sleep.

Tiny, New, Pea-Sized Frog Is Old World's Smallest

22/09/2010  http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/08/100825094915.htm

This for is something that nobody has found ever it is the smallest frog in the world there inset a lot of these frogs in the world it's size is between a bee and a mosquito

You can find these frogs ( Asia, Africa, and Europe) these frogs a most likely to be found in the forest where there is rain.

As we explore new things, we hope the discovery of these miniature frogs will help us to understand what changes in the global environment are having an impact on these fascinating.

Many different animals live very different ways. The snapping turtle has a tong like a worm and it's lures the other fish and so the fish thing it's food so they try to take it but the turtle snaps the fish and that's pretty   cool.
There is this spider that was pretty, i don't know it's name.
The birds have really good sight to they can see the fish when they are flaying and zoom in the water and eat the fish.
